Back wall for kitchen Japanese books Part-3

Back wall for the kitchen Japanese books part-3

The Rijksmuseum has a fine collection of Japanese books from the period around 1780-1850. The covers of these books are made according to the technique “woodcut” and are very decorative due to the use of color but also due to the degradation of time. We chose 3 designs to make a back wall for the kitchen design.

This cover was made by Kitao Masayoshi and is titled: “Mirror of Edo”.

A playful design with Cranes that, according to Japanese legends, ensure a long and happy life. A beautiful weathered cover that initially does not knock out the kitchen but if you look closer brings a special beauty to your kitchen!
