Back wall for kitchen Japanese books Part-2
The Rijksmuseum has a fine collection of Japanese books from the period around 1800-1850. The covers of these books are made according to the technique “woodcut” and are very decorative due to the use of color but also due to the degradation of time. We chose 3 designs to make a back wall for the kitchen design.
This cover was made by Shimokobe Jusui and is entitled:”Encyclopedia of Humanity”. The stone-blue color combined with the crackle of the paper combines nicely with, for example, a concrete worktop!

Below are the designs of our three standard sizes for your kitchen back wall. The SoWhat-Flex material is easy to make exactly to size yourself. If you have overhead cupboards and you still want to cover the space near the extractor, choose the 70 cm height. You can incorporate the material behind the kitchen cabinets or make cut-outs. To do this, use a sharp paring knife and a good metal cutting ruler. If you choose a custom size, we will mail you a design adapted to your size for approval.
Our SoWhat-AluSandwich sheet material is easy to install with a Polymer mounting kit. Cut-outs are made with a jigsaw or hole saw. We only make this material to size. We include your wishes in the design!
Unfortunately, the AluSandwich material is currently only available in the Netherlands!
SoWhat-Flex material: we supply this material including a ready-to-use adhesive. The package also includes a piece of test material and an instruction manual.
